The next revolution in the air
Seeing far more than human eyes and never distracted, the PilotEye™ visual traffic detection system scans the sky to provide pilot advisories for airborne threats. In addition to identifying ADS-B equipped aircraft, PilotEye™ recognizes non-cooperative traffic such as birds, drones, gliders, and balloons.

This visual awareness solution is a joint project between Daedalean and the Avidyne Corporation—a well-established, US-based provider of integrated avionics systems, flight displays, and safety systems for General Aviation and business aircraft. Daedalean’s AI-enabled technology integrates with Avidyne’s Skytrax™ Traffic Advisory System into the IFD5XX flight display series. A tablet screen streams detailed information on any detected intruders in the real time video feed from three aircraft-mounted cameras.

PilotEye™ is poised to become the first AI-based cockpit application to be certified for civil aviation.

Available for both fixed-wing
and rotorcraft:

  • Continuous scanning of the sky for airborne hazards above and below the horizon.
  • Optional fusing with other data sources, merged into one single intuitive display.
  • Dissimilar, redundant situational awareness.
